This candle holder can be used to hold a candle while lit, however you should not allow the candle to burn down to within 2 inches of the top of the candle holder. Doing so may result in damage to the candle holder. Safely extinguish the flame (using a candle snuffer) when there is only 2 inches of candle above the top of the candle holder. 

Allow the candle to cool/fully set before removing from the candle holder. Never leave a burning candle unattended.
