Pensions for widows in New Spain and Peru

Manuscript decree that outlines the distribution of pensions for the widows and dependents of Ministers, both within and outside the Court, particularly focusing on the Spanish colonies. It acknowledges that these pensions will eventually surpass the funds previously allocated for the Monte Pío, a charitable fund. To ensure the sustainability of these pensions and honor the Royal Clemency, the decree assigns an annual rent of one hundred and fifty thousand and eight units from the revenues of the Archbishops and Bishops of the Kingdoms, proportionally distributed as life pensions become vacant. Additionally, five thousand pesos are allocated to major and minor vacancies in the Kingdoms of the Indies, with three thousand pesos specifically for New Spain and two thousand for Peru.
Furthermore, it mandates that heirs residing in customs areas gather in Cádiz exempt from rights, benefiting the heir of the House of Constran. The Junta del Monte is responsible for handling the corresponding orders and dispatches, ensuring proper documentation and collection. The benefits of the Royal piety are also extended to officials of the six Secretariats of the Universal Dispatch, organizing the Ministry Monte under the same regulations as other ministries to provide relief to widows and orphans in the Spanish colonies.
