BOOK BAG began with the idea that books and bags resemble one another.
If a book is a structure that contains and carries text, then a bag is a form that holds objects and transports the time of everyday life. The BOOK BAG is both a bag for books and another kind of “bookshelf” that carefully holds the stories embedded in the objects we carry.

It is designed based on a structure made from a single piece of fabric, like a book cover, and a form that resembles a book’s spine and back cover. Graphic elements are added to the surface of the bag, like those on a book, creating a plane where stories and images can reside. Though simple in structure, it is faithfully designed for practical use, based on A3 size. It includes pockets that fit A4 and A5-sized books, as well as a pencil pocket for writing tools. The pencil pocket also functions as an adjustable closure, adapting to the thickness of the bag.

This is a special product created in collaboration between Amsterdam-based design studio Terry Bleu and a Gongyega for the 2025 Unlimited Edition Seoul Art Book Fair (UE17).
