Last Train to Bremen is a storytelling game for exactly four players, designed by Caro Asercion and published by Possum Creek Games, an imprint of Steve Jackson Games.
You play the band: a cockerel, a cat, a hound and a mule, a wink to the old fairy tale of the Town Musicians of Bremen. The game runs on Liar’s Dice. Every round you bid, bluff and call each other out, and the results push the story forward through the acts of the game. Secrets come out, loyalties shift and old grudges surface. No game master is needed: everyone plays, and everyone has something to hide.
The box contains a 62-page rulebook with a Liar’s Dice tutorial and the acts of the game, 13 dice and four character cards. Everything you need is in there.
Last Train to Bremen won the IGDN Indie Groundbreaker Award for Most Innovative and was a finalist for Best Game at the 2025 ENnie Awards. It is a dark comedy with mature themes and strong language, rated 14+. A great pick for board gamers curious about roleplaying, and for roleplayers who enjoy bluffing, betrayal and a tragic tale told well.
