Let It Rip

Danny Raymond

Advanced Snare Solo

Instrumentation:

• Marching snare drum

Let it Rip, by Danny Raymond, showcases a wide range of challenging technical feats like stick tosses and backsticking patterns to name a couple. The performer will be using both matched and traditional grip to play fast rolls, fast alternating flam patterns, sextuplets, and some very tough stickings. There is even a double-stroke roll breakdown in the piece to pay homage to 70’s era solo contests. Let It Rip you up!

This piece comes as a bound folio containing the sheet music, performance notes, a notation key, and even warm-up exercises specific to the piece!

This solo was extracted from Danny’s 9-solo compilation DVD Let It Rip. The DVD contains not only printable PDFs of the sheet music and performance videos of each, but also tips & tricks, warm-up exercises, interviews, and more.
