The war with the Jackals is over. There is peace, for now. One quiet year to build something, before the Frost Shepherds arrive in winter and it all ends.
The Quiet Year is a GM-less map-drawing game. With two to four players you sketch, week by week, the map of a community that has just survived the collapse of civilization. Each week you draw a card, and each card brings something: a discovery, bad news, a project stalling, a sudden turn of luck. You do not play a character. You play the community itself, and the world that works against it.
The beauty is in what emerges. A pencil, a sheet of paper and a handful of decisions, and by the end of the evening there is a world on the table that was not there when you started. Sometimes hopeful, often fragile.
The kraft box holds everything you need: a 32-page booklet, a deck of The Quiet Year cards, two Turn Summary cards, six dice and sixteen skull-shaped contempt tokens. Grab your pencils and start drawing.
